Triple Platinum selling artist Nathi Mankayi appeared at the Alex Magistrate court today following his arrest on Monday.
Mankayi had allegedly committed a robbery with his two friends last year at the offices of the former boss China Mpololo.
According to SowetanLive, the station’s spokesperson, Capt Molefe Mogodi confirmed that Mankayi appeared in court in connection with business robbery. The trio apparently went to Mpololo’s offices where they allegedly took laptops, landline phones, printers and cellphones.
“Sources” told The Sowetan that issues started when Mankayi’s manager cut ties with him and the decision did not sit well with the award-winning artist.
He allegedly took his friends with him to his former boss’ offices “to teach him a lesson” and allegedly took laptops, landline phones, printers, and cellphones. The items were recovered by police and given back to the owner.
Before the fame, he was arrested in the Eastern Cape following a robbery and served time before he was released for good behaviour.
