An email directed at a prospective client of Sodwana Bay Guest House in St Lucia, KwaZulu-Natal, has gone viral on social media, after a representative of the lodge refused the booking on racist grounds.

The email reads, “Hi. We do not accommodate black or government officials any longer.” It’s signed Enki André M Slade, with the post script, Proverbs 29:2, which ironically reads, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn” from the King James Version.

The recipient of the email tweeted the original email, which ignited a twitter fire among enraged South Africans:

Watch : A recorded interview with Andre Slate of Sodwana Bay Guesthouse in KZN.

A black woman was refused access to book a stay at the Guesthouse because of the colour of her skin.
In the video, journalist Lerato Mbangeni questions Slate about his refusal.

He mentions that at the Guesthouse they “work according to God’s law and according to God’s law we have to have some sort of segregation between the creation he left here”

Slate also added that the law in South Africa was that of Satan.
