Actress and social media influencer Ntando Duma found herself back in the spotlight, this time in the corridors of the Randburg Magistrates Court, over a dispute with her neighbour. Her presence, however, was not unaccompanied, as she was flanked by two imposing bodyguards.
The Root of the Dispute
The dispute in question stems from an altercation between Duma and a neighbour residing within her complex. Allegedly, the neighbour confronted Duma concerning unsupervised children playing in a designated parking area, one of whom was Duma’s own child.
According to sources familiar with the incident, tensions escalated when the neighbour nearly collided with one of the children while driving through the parking lot. This prompted the neighbour to instruct the children not to play in the area, leading to a confrontation between the parents and the neighbour in the adjacent roadway. Tempers flared, resulting in verbal exchanges, as alleged by the neighbour in court documents.

In response to the escalating conflict, both parties sought legal recourse by filing protection orders against each other. Subsequently, the neighbor was granted a protection order, setting the stage for a series of court appearances.
Duma’s initial court appearance, scheduled for 6 December, did not materialize. Similarly, her subsequent appearance on 30 January 2024 was postponed due to reported illness, supported by a medical certificate. For her third appearance on 12 February, Duma appeared alongside a new legal representative.
Continued Delays
Despite her efforts, Duma’s legal saga endures as her recent appearance in court resulted in another postponement. The matter has been rescheduled for further investigation on 10 June.
According to insider sources, Duma is striving to authenticate the validity of her medical excuse for her previous absences. Furthermore, her decision to attend court accompanied by bodyguards has raised eyebrows, considering the neighbour holds the current protection order.
