Aidonia And Kimberly Megan’s Nine-Year-Old Son Khalif Has Died
Jamaican dancehall musician Aidonia and his wife Kimberly Megan’s nine-year-old son Khalif has died.
King Khalif Lawrence passed away on Saturday after a long battle with cancer. Reports are that Khalif became ill in 2019. His mother was off social media, presumably to take care of him, while Aidonia’s accounts have also not been as active.
Fans believe Aidonia shared messages on Twitter which were connected to his son’s health.
“Pray. Faith. Watch God Work,” he wrote on Twitter on November 27.
In a second tweet, he wrote, “Even through the darkest times, u will still get ah ray of sunlight.” The dancehall musician was very close to his son, who was the centre of his world.
Earlier this year, Aidonia had his son and his wife’s names tattooed on his chest near his heart. The names ‘Kim’ and ‘Khalif’ were adorned with crowns on his left breast.
While Aidonia and his wife are yet to confirm the death of their son, several members of the Dancehall industry took to social media to express their grief and pay their condolences.

Shenseea shared her condolences on Twitter on Saturday after news of Khalif’s death broke.
“My heart is breaking for u Aidonia and Kim 💔💔💔💔 omg,” she wrote.
“This hit different, prayers for my brother @aidonia4thgenna,I can only imagine the pain #jahjahm,” Wasp wrote, alongside a photo of Aidonia and Khalif.

Aidonia, born Sheldon Aitana Ricardo Lawrence in Kingston, Jamaica, got his big break in 2004 as a member of Bounty Killer’s Alliance. He’s known for songs such as Pon Di C-cky, Pretty Please,U Know Di Vibe, Nuh Boring Gyal, Jook So, and Yeah Yeah.
He got married to Kimberly Megan in 2016 after they had a son together in 2013.
