Amapiano Sensation Pabi Cooper Achieves Childhood Dream At SABC
Versatile amapiano sensation Pabi Cooper is inching closer to achieving all her dreams after she landed a new gig as a Sports Presenter on SABC 1.
The Banyana Ke Bafana singer achieved her childhood dream when she landed the role on SABC 1. Pabi Cooper took to her social media on Tuesday to announce her new role with the national broadcaster.
She will be on our tv screens for the Good Morning Qatar show which airs from 7 am to 8 am daily on SABC 1. On Tuesday, Pabi Cooper shared pictures of her first day on the set of the Good Morning Qatar show. She captioned the pictures “New Sports Presenter for Good Morning Qatar on SABC1❤️ 7am-8am”.
Taking to her official Twitter account, Pabi revealed that her landing the role on SABC 1 is the fulfilment of a lifelong dream. She shared a screenshot of a message she sent to Supersport presenter Lindiwe Nxumalo in 2019.
At the time Pabi Cooper wanted to know what qualification she would need to have to land a gig as a sports presenter. The message read:
Hey Lindiwe, I’m sorry to drop in unannounced.
Can I ask a quick question?
My name is Paballo Mothapo . I love sports, | play soccer, and I’m a head of sports in my school (currently doing matric ). I’m also passionate about Sports presenting & next year I considered doing Sports communication at University of Johannesburg So my question is , will a degree in sports communication help me to be in the field of presenting in sports?
Fortunately for Pabi, Lindiwe responded by sending her a voice note which we believe was enough to guide her to her current role at SABC 1.
In other news, Pabi Cooper born Paballo Mothapo joined forces with one of South Africa’s most loved antiperspirant deodorant brands, Shield, as their new brand ambassador.
