Amapiano To The World| Kamo Mphela, DBN Gogo Join Rihanna On Black Panther Wakanda Forever Soundtrack
Amapiano continues to spread its tentacles across the world with the genre set to feature in a Marvel Studios movie.
Five South African musicians are set to join other global musicians on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever album titled Wakanda Forever-Music From and Inspired By.
DBN Gogo, Kamo Mphela, Young Stunna, Busiswa and Sino Msolo feature on two tracks off the album.
The South African musicians are on the tracks; Love & Loyalty (Believe) and Jele. Fans of the musicians will get to listen to the tracks this Friday when the full album is released. The sequel to Black Panther will be released the following Friday.
Taking to her socials, DBN Gogo was elated to have made it onto the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack. Industry colleagues and her fans congratulated DBN Gogo on making it onto the soundtrack.
Apart from the South African Amapiano musicians, the album will also feature Nigerian musicians Burna Boy, Tems, Rema, CKay and Fireboy DML.
It also features Aléman, Vivir Quintana, Mare Advertencia, Blue Rojo, and Pat Boy, who raps entirely in Mayan from Mexico.
The soundtrack also includes PinkPantheress, E-40, and Stormzy, among many others. Wakanda Forever is light on veterans from the wildly successful Black Panther soundtrack save for Future. The tracklist doesn’t include Rihanna’s reported second song Born Again.
In total, Wakanda Forever-Music From and Inspired By features over 40 international artists recorded in Lagos, Nigeria, Mexico City, London and Los Angeles.
In a press release, Marvel said the audience will hear over 250 musicians, two orchestras, two choirs and over 40 vocalists over the course of the film.
