Anele Mdoda, a South African television presenter, radio personality, producer, businesswoman, and author, was born and raised in Mthatha, Eastern Cape. She hails from a family deeply rooted in the entertainment industry, with her father, Patillizwe Mdoda, and her late mother, Yolisa Mdoda, as well as her sisters Unathi, Thembisa, and Zamalisa Mdoda, all making their mark.

In 2016, Anele and her sister Thembisa co-hosted ‘Our Perfect Wedding.’ She then joined 947 as the host of the ‘Breakfast Club show in 2018 and hosted the third season of ‘The Voice South Africa.’

Her television journey continued with roles as a judge for the Miss South Africa pageant, hosting the Pan-African television show ‘The Buzz,’ and being announced as the host of the Miss South Africa pageant alongside Nico Panagio in September 2021.

Masked Singer SA

In 2023, Anele Mdoda acquired the rights to produce the first African version of the popular celebrity singing game show ‘Masked Singer.’ The show’s first season was broadcast on SABC 3 and hosted by Mpho Pops, marking a groundbreaking achievement in her career.
