Authorities are on the lookout for another Bolt driver after he stabs passengers in a disturbing incident in Lenasia, Gauteng. The driver is suspected of assaulting and robbing two female passengers, aged 23 and 38, in a harrowing ordeal that unfolded on Monday. This unnerving event marks the second such incident within a span of just two days, both transpiring under the umbrella of Bolt’s transportation services.
Details of the Incident regarding Bolt Driver
According to reports, the Bolt driver had been ferrying the two women to their destination in Lenasia on Monday. However, upon arrival, the driver deviated from the agreed-upon drop-off location, leading the passengers into a situation of vulnerability.

The nonprofit organization Women for Change has shed light on the distressing turn of events, revealing that the driver subjected the women to physical assault, including beating and stabbing, before making off with their personal belongings. This brazen act of violence has left the community in shock and raised serious concerns regarding passenger safety within the e-hailing industry.

Bolt’s Response
In the wake of this alarming incident, e-hailing service Bolt has pledged to assist the victims by covering any emergency medical expenses incurred as a result of the attack. This gesture underscores the company’s commitment to prioritizing customer well-being and safety.
The e-hailing service also blocked another driver recently who had stabbed his passengers. According to Women For Change, the driver also handed himself over to the police for investigation.
