Another man in KZN stabs his girlfriend and their 3-year-old son before he took his own life.
Police in KwaZulu-Natal uncovered a devastating scene on Friday morning in the uMgababa area, located along the South Coast.
The lifeless bodies of a young couple and their three-year-old child were found in a residence within the Daganya region.
Details of the Incident
Authorities believe the tragedy unfolded late Thursday night or during the early hours of Friday. According to police reports, a 24-year-old man is alleged to have fatally stabbed his 22-year-old girlfriend and their young son before ending his own life.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson, Colonel Robert Netshiunda, confirmed that the woman’s body was discovered lying in a pool of blood, bearing multiple stab wounds. The man’s body was later found hanging from the roof inside the same house.
Evidence Found at the Scene
During the investigation, police recovered identification documents belonging to the victims, which were placed on the bed. This discovery has helped authorities identify the deceased, although their names have not yet been released to the public.
