Babes Wodumo Devastated By Death Of Hubby Mampintsha, Begs Him Not To Leave Her

Kwaito star and the other half of Big Nuz died yesterday morning, and his wife, Babes Wodumo, is completely broken.

Mampintsha died on 24 December at 40, a day before Christmas, after suffering a stroke last week.

Mampintsha’s record label Afrotainment confirmed that the Ngeke hitmaker had just come from a performance when he suffered a minor stroke and was hospitalised at the Durdoc Hospital in Durban.

His wife, Babes Wodumo, with whom he has a son, Sponge, reportedly went hysteric when the star died yesterday.

One Ukhozi FM listener close to the family reportedly called the KwaZulu-Natal radio station and said that as the family was waiting for a mortuary vehicle to come and collect Mampintsha’s body, Babes Wodumo allegedly jumped on her husband’s lifeless body.

It is further alleged that she sat on top of him and begged him not to leave her.

Babes and Mampintsha’s son, Sponge, is 18 months old.

South Africans on social media were touched by the pain that Babes Wodumo is going through following the death of her husband.

@TheMusicBinger:

“My heart bleeds for her… he was her soulmate, life partner, business partner, bff. They literally spent every waking moment together (except for the times we didn’t see). She’s still soo young… hopefully, she will bounce back stronger.”

@sam_matigage2:

“Tough times for Babes. I hope she will recover from this nightmare.”

@Aria4991:

“Eish, this will either drive Babes Wodumo over the edge or be a turning point she was desperately after. RIP Mampintsha😢😢”

@makho_v:

“….and some of Lucifer’s children are celebrating.”

Some people on social media have been celebrating the death of Mampintsha, saying Babes Wodumo is now free.

Over the past years, videos have emerged of the late Big Nuz singer physically abusing Babes Wodumo. Despite all the instances, the two musicians always reconciled and went back together.

The couple got married in 2021 after dating for years.
