Bobi Wine Lands Himself In Trouble
Judging from the events unfolding, Uganda’s main opposition leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu popularly known as Bobi Wine in music circles will regret the day he joined politics as he seems to be landing himself into a new set of troubles by each day. From being tortured by security state agents and losing his loved ones, the brave musician cum politician has been denied access to get out of his house as soldiers are surrounding his residence.
According to a tweet that has left many speechless, Mr. Seentamu is stuck with an 18 months baby who had paid his wife a visit in the company of his father who has since been denied access. To add salt to injury, the opposition leader has indicated that he has since run of food and milk according to his social media post below.
Day Six under house arrest and we’re still stuck with an 18 months old baby who had paid a visit to her auntie (my wife ) be4 we were raided & besieged. The Dad has been denied access to her. Bobi Wine has rejected the election outcome, describing them as unfair, and called on the country to dismiss the results, citing he had evidence of fraud and rigging. He however did not furnish details of what evidence he had, saying his team would share it when communications lines were restored. Internet was eventually restored after incumbent leader Yoweri Museveni was declared the winner for a record sixth term.
Wine took to social media and said :
“Day six under house arrest and we’re still stuck with an 18month old baby. Her dad had brought her to visit her auntie (Barbie) just before we were raided and besieged, he was blocked from picking her up. We have completely run out of food and milk yet no one is allowed to leave or come into our home.
