Radio presenter Tbo Touch also echoed this and revealed how news of Da LES’ stroke deeply affected him:

“I couldn’t agree with you more. Life is too short, and I witnessed you perform with a heavy heart after I told you about our Boy @2freshles. Trust me, he felt your love and prayers. We serve a God of a second chance. Let’s do this, my Brother 💪🏾”

The Years-Long Beef

Burna Boy’s tension with South Africans dates back to 2019 when he made a series of tweets in response to xenophobic attacks in South Africa. He urged black foreigners in South Africa to defend themselves and warned South African rapper AKA to “beef up security”. This led to a public spat between the two artists, with AKA demanding an apology from Burna Boy, which he refused to give.

The situation escalated when Burna Boy was scheduled to perform at the Africans Unite concert in South Africa, which was eventually cancelled due to public backlash and threats of violence.
