Joel Booysen Sets the Record Straight

Booysen took to his social media accounts to address the rumours, clarifying that he and Nakai are merely friends. He explained that Nakai was hired to entertain guests at his nightclub, emphasizing their platonic relationship.

In his statement seen by IOL, Booysen said,

Me and Nadia are just friends. We were at my nightclub in town, and she hosted at my place that night. She took the video with no bad intentions, but people went and added their own story. Me and she are like brother and sister; nothing more. She is very good at what she does… she is always a vibe when we are hosting her.”

Past Connections with AKA and Unwanted TikTok Presence

Booysen also addressed his friendship with the late hip hop star Kiernan “AKA” Forbes, clarifying that they were friends. He expressed condolences for AKA, who was tragically murdered in February last year.

Additionally, Booysen highlighted the existence of a fake TikTok account using his name, causing damage to his reputation. He urged people to be cautious of the imposter account, emphasizing that he has never had any TikTok presence and that the content under his name is fabricated.

Booysen emphasized,

I need people to know, we had it in the newspaper, but some still haven’t gotten the memo.” He called attention to the fake TikTok account engaging in inappropriate behaviour and urged followers not to fall victim to the impersonation.
