Cassper Nyovest Offers Heartfelt Tribute To Best Friend DJ Sumbody

 

Versatile musician Cassper Nyovest has mourned the loss of his best friend DJ Sumbody who was gunned down on Sunday in Joburg and offered a heartfelt tribute to him.

The Monate Mpolaye hitmaker DJ Sumbody, real name Oupa John Sefoka, died in the early hours of Sunday in Johannesburg after being shot by yet-to-be-identified gunmen.

Cassper Nyovest who collaborated with DJ Sumbody on Monate Mpolaye took to his official social media pages on two different occasions and mourned the loss of his friend.

On Monday, Cassper Nyovest revealed that DJ Sumbody’s death has left him heartbroken. He revealed that the wheel spinner had big plans before he was taken from the face of the earth. He said:

 

My beautiful brother, Ntja ya Kota!!! You broke my heart. I won’t lie, ha ke shapo. You had big big plans!!!

 

He also put to rest the rumour that DJ Sumbody had turned down his invitation to perform at Fill Up concert at Mmabatho Stadium. Cassper Nyovest said they were scheduled to perform at the concert on the 3rd of next month together. Responding to a comment, Nyovest said:

 

 @miss_sebeko that was my guy. We were supposed to rock them in Maftown next week, together!! They took him away from us. For what?

Taking to his social media on Tuesday, Cassper Nyovest reminisced how DJ Sumbody would call him P Diddy or Kanye West because of his business acumen.

He said the record producer was always there for him. Nyovest said Sefoka’s death is difficult for him to accept and he is praying to God for a miracle.

Cassper Nyovest said:

Sometimes you called me Diddy, and sometimes you called me Kanye, I still don’t know which one I prefer but I know one thing for sure, the bond we shared was special. You were ALWAYS there for me and I was ALWAYS there for you. I really can’t take the pain and I pray for healing, acceptance and understanding. Pelo yaka e botloko SumB. ANEVA JO!
