“He Is Chasing Clout”: Cassper Nyovest Pens Tribute Song To “Enemy” AKA In New Album Solomon
South African rapper Cassper Nyovest has penned a heartfelt tribute to his sworn “enemy” late rapper AKA in his new album, Solomon.
Cassper Nyoverst, born Refiloe Phoolo, dropped his seventh studio album at midnight on 15 September 2023. The body of work is a return to the rap game after a hiatus following the emergence of Amapiano.

Cassper Nyovest Tribute To AKA
In the album, Cassper released a song called Candlelight, in which he paid tribute to his arch-rival, late rapper AKA. In the song, he rapped:
“The other day, I went to see your family. I was scared because I thought they’d be mad at me, but they embraced me. Your mama is a lady, and your father might be cooler than you maybe. Everybody misses you. Aunty Lynn, Uncle Tony, we are with you. And every time you feel down, we will lift you. We pray to the mighty God that we live through.”
He also paid his respects to the late rapper Costa Titch, who was once his dancer. By the time Costa died, the two rappers were in bad books.
Cassper paid homage:
“Another candlelight for Costa. Big Flexa, my dude you were awesome. I know we had a little issue. We are human. But I just wanna let you know umurule.”
The Biggest Musical Beef In South African Music
Cassper Nyovest and AKA had the most extended and most hateful beef in South Africa. Their grudge was so ingrained that at one time, AKA slapped Cassper, and he cried on Twitter.

Before his death, the two rappers almost jumped into the ring for a boxing match, but it never materialised.
However, the bad blood vanished when AKA died. Cassper Nyovest visited the Forbes family to offer condolences to them. AKA’s dad, Tony, even acknowledged and thanked him in public. He also revealed that Cassper could not attend the funeral as he was in the US.
