Cassper Nyovest, who notoriously didn’t enter any of his music into this year’s South African Music Awards, boycotted the live TV broadcast by streaming his own house party.
After the nominees were announced Cassper tweeted: “Thanks for all the love.. pls note we deliberately did NOT submit for these awards. I’ll explain it all through my music. Stay blessed.”
He did however score a nom in the Best Collaboration category for Slyza Tsotsi.
On Saturday night, while the Samas was being broadcast on SABC1, Cassper promised his fans a look into his house as he connected with them live via Facebook.
The “house party” saw all Cassper’s guests sitting in front of the TV watching the Samas while commenting on the music show.
They also discussed the levels of being a blesser.
