CCTV Evidence Shows Victor Majola Pointing Out DJ Warras Before Shooting
The Johannesburg Magistrates Court heard on Tuesday that Victor Majola allegedly ordered the killing of media personality Warrick “DJ Warras” Stock.
Prosecutors presented CCTV footage showing the 44-year-old interacting with two men near the Zambesi building shortly before the shooting on 16 December 2025.
According to Kaya959, investigating officer Captain Abe Montwedi told the court that Majola was seen pointing at DJ Warras while speaking to a man with dreadlocks, allegedly saying in isiZulu, “nangu lo muntu” — meaning, “here’s this person.”
The dreadlocked man then reportedly waited for DJ Warras, who had stepped outside briefly, before shooting him as he returned inside the building.

Alleged Motive Linked to Tenants’ Rental Payments
DJ Warras was at the Zambesi building to install CCTV cameras at the request of the property owner. Prosecutors claim Majola and his girlfriend orchestrated the killing to maintain control over tenants’ rental payments. Majola’s girlfriend was initially arrested but later released due to insufficient evidence.
Majola Denies Charges and Seeks Bail
Through his lawyer Dumisani Mabunda, Majola has denied the charges of premeditated murder and conspiracy to commit murder. He is seeking bail, arguing he was mistakenly arrested. In an affidavit, Majola said he has 12 financially dependent children and no passport, which he claims reduces any flight risk.
Majola further claimed he did not know DJ Warras personally and only became aware of him through his girlfriend, who was a tenant at the Zambesi building.
