Connie Ferguson was born on June 10, 1970, in Kimberley, Northern Cape, South Africa. Her roots trace back to both Botswana and South Africa, with parents Fish Masilo and Margaret Masilo. She spent her formative years in Lobatse, Botswana, where she completed her primary and secondary education.

Connie Ferguson embarked on her professional journey in 1991 as a model before transitioning to acting. She made her initial foray into the industry with minor roles in television series like Tropical Heat and Crime Reporter. However, it was in 1994 that she achieved a significant breakthrough by landing the pivotal role of Karabo Moroka in the esteemed television soap opera, Generations. Her portrayal of Karabo, a strong and resilient character, endeared her to audiences across South Africa.

Tragically, Shona Ferguson’s untimely demise in 2021 left a void in the South African entertainment landscape. He passed away on July 30, 2021, due to Covid-19-related complications, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire.
