After nine years veteran actress Connie Chiume will bid farewell to e.tv’s Rhythm City.
The news has been revealed through a statement released on Wednesday morning by the broadcaster.
Even though Connie will be leaving the soapie‚ this does not mean that fans will no longer get to see her on their TV screens.
“This departure will allow me to pick up on things that were left undone. I am grateful for the time and experience with Rhythm City and e.tv. I believe I was born to be an actress‚ it’s in my blood. Parting is such sweet sorrow‚ and I will miss my Rhythm City family‚” said Connie in the statement.
Producers of Rhythm City said that Connie will be missed‚ but wished her well with her future projects.
“We are very sad to say goodbye to Connie who has been one of the show’s cornerstone characters. The brilliance and talent she brought to the soapie‚ in her role as Mamokete‚ has been an inspiration to many. We will miss her on the Rhythm City set and on our screens. e.tv‚ Rhythm City producers‚ cast and crew wish her all the best with her future endeavours‚” said producer Yula Quinn.
