Da Les Health Update: Sources Share Inspiring Progress After Stroke
Sources close to renowned rapper Da Les have shared an encouraging update on his health. The “All Eyes On Me” artist has been discharged from the hospital after a month-long stay following a stroke and is now recovering at home.
According to sources, Da Les is doing well, although he is still experiencing some speech impairment. Despite receiving excellent medical attention from top doctors at Charlotte Maxeke and South Rand hospitals, Da Les, whose real name is Leslie Jonathan Mampe Jr., wasn’t able to secure a private ward. This is one of the reasons his family felt it was better to have him home.
“He was treated with the highest form of care at Charlotte Maxeke and South Rand hospitals, where he started his rehabilitation. The family thought it was best for him to be home.” added the source.
Family members are now taking turns to look after Da Les, and his mother, who had been living in the U.S., has returned to South Africa to ensure her son is well cared for.
“His mother, who was based in the US, is here to make sure that he is fine,” the source said, adding that the rapper is starting to put sentences together, slowly.
