A dead woman is said to have rejected the coffin bought by her husband for her burial in Mabopane, Pretoria on Saturday.

The woman, Zama Ngubane , reportedly displayed some shocking visible signs that she was not prepared to be buried in the said coffin, iMzansi was told on Monday.

According to the report, the dead woman’s daughter, Zodwa, temporarily became possessed by the spirit her mother, who reportedly in a loud tone, stated that she did not like the coffin and other items bought by her husband for her burial and so they should be changed.

This, the report said, was followed by the failure of the engine of the vehicle – which was supposed to convey the body to the cemetery – to start.

Compounding matters, the coffin containing Zama’s  body also reportedly fell from a tricycle that was later brought to convey it.

These events are said to have shocked mourners at the event who concluded that Zama was not prepared to go to the grave in her husband’s coffin.

The report said the coffin was eventually replaced with a new one , a casket this time, purchased by the woman’s family before her lifeless body could be taken to the cemetery for burial.
