Diamond and Dolls Producer Tebogo Ramokgadi Speaks Out After Food Poisoning Incident
Diamond and Dolls producer Tebogo Ramokgadi is recovering after a severe bout of food poisoning that left him fearing for his life.
The incident occurred while Ramokgadi was dining at a high-end restaurant in Sandton, where what was supposed to be a pleasant meal turned into a terrifying health crisis.

Tebogo Ramokgadi Food Poisoning Incident
In a candid interview with TimesLIVE, Tebogo Ramokgadihe recounted his near-death experience.
He revealed that he began to feel unwell when he was enjoying his meal.
“I suddenly started sweating profusely and felt a wave of nausea hit me. Before I knew it, I collapsed,” he revealed.
What followed was a harrowing night of relentless vomiting and repeated trips to the bathroom.
“I’ve never experienced anything like this before. I was scared out of my mind, not knowing what was happening to me.”
A Night of Fear and Helplessness
Back at his flat, Ramokgadi’s condition worsened. Alone and overwhelmed, he struggled to cope with the severe symptoms.
“I was crying in my flat, feeling utterly helpless. My tears eventually dried up, and even though a family friend tried to assist me, I was too weak to communicate,” he shared.
The experience was so intense that Ramokgadi found himself contemplating his mortality, fearing that he might not make it through the night.
Tebogo Reflects on His Near-Death Experience
In the aftermath, Ramokgadi took to Instagram to share his ordeal, expressing both his fear and gratitude for surviving.
I reflected on the good times and the people I love, mostly I was scared to die first before my mother. Never ever have I experienced such in my life. The only vomiting for me is after alcohol as it’s bad for me, but for the first time, food made me vomit. I have never been so helpless,” he wrote in one post.
In another post, he went on to describe the severity of his symptoms and how he felt helpless and thought he was going to die.
“Food poisoning can kill you. I was vomiting and going to the toilet the whole night till morning. I thought I was going to die. I cried, feeling helpless and regretting whatever I ate, but it was too late. I was begging for God to give me another day, but it got worse till I gave up and accepted that I might die.”
