Dinner At Somizi’s: The River’s Mabutho Leaves Women Wanting More

Dinner At Somizi’s recent episode left many fans drooling for more after a fire episode with the people’s darling hunk, Thembinkosi Mthembu, who is popularly known as “Mabutho” on The River.

Amid fears the show might be pulled down from screens due to the controversy surrounding IP ownership, according to women, last night’s episode was one of the greatest episodes Somizi has ever hosted.
Recently, Somizi has been trending on social media following explosive evidence that he ripped off an idea from one of his fans and budding producer, Hastings Moeng, to start his hit cooking series, Dinner At Somizi’s.

However, the media personality has since denied stealing anyone’s idea, claiming that the budding producer, (Hastings) should have copyrighted his idea first and approached him in a legal way.

Many had already ‘cancelled’ the show, but thanks to The River’s much loved hunk, Mabutho who’s featured recently and brought back Dinner At Somizi’s on social media trends, this time for all good reasons.

On Somizi’s show, Thembinkosi revealed he was a father to one beautiful daughter.

He further revealed that he works hard for his looks that he had to ‘invent from scratch’ to suit his character, Mabutho – meaning warrior.

Fans, especially women took to twitter last night as the show ran, expressing their love for the surprisingly shy Mabutho, who plays a role opposite to his real life character.

Since airing in July the show has hosted a number of SA celebs, including the likes of Pearl Thusi, DJ Zinhle, Jub Jub, Lerato Kganyago, Rami Chuene, Rebecca Malope, Zahara Cassper Nyovest.
