DJ Maphorisa’s Assault Case Gets Postponed Again
It is not over yet for DJ Maphorisa as his assault case has been postponed once again after appearing at the Randburg Magistrate court on Wednesday, 5 July.

This comes after his actress and DJ girlfriend, Thulisile Phongolo filed a case against him in May for allegedly assaulting her during an argument at her home in Sandton, Johannesburg. As a result, Maphorisa was reportedly arrested and held overnight at the Sandton police station.
The Ba Straata hitmaker was then granted R4 000 bail. As part of his bail conditions, Magistrate Clement Mukhodobwane stated that the accused must not have any direct or indirect contact with the complainant.

The statement disclosed that the couple had an argument after Thuli confronted him about a disagreement they had the previous night at a gig. “I confronted him so that we can talk about our argument, which happened the previous night during his gig,” said the actress at the time.
The former Generations: The Legacy star went on to explain that Maphorisa reacted violently and started attacking her. “He held me, took me to the balcony and grabbed me aggressively by my neck,” she added.
MAPHORISA REPORTEDLY REPOSSESSES HIS CARS FROM THULI PHONGOLO
DJ Maphorisa’s relationship with Thuli Phongolo has taken a turn for the worse following the assault allegations against him. The producer has allegedly repossessed all the cars he gifted the actress during the course of their relationship. A source has told Zimoja that the DJ repossessed his Mercedes G Wagon and Porsche that he had bought for Phongolo immediately after he was released from custody.
UPCOMING COURT DATE
Unfortunately, DJ Maphorisa’s assault case has been postponed once again. The award-winning DJ and Amapiano producer, Sonnyboy Sekowe, had initially appeared in court on 14 June, but the case was postponed due to the absence of state representatives. The court has now rescheduled the case to 12 July.
The delay in proceedings has caused further anticipation and speculation surrounding the outcome of the case. Fans and followers of DJ Maphorisa and Thulisile Phongolo continue to closely monitor the developments.
