The move occurred just days after his mother arrived from the United States, where she is based.

Da LES Transferred To A Public Hospital

A close friend told Zimoja that Da LES is conscious but currently unable to move:

“He can see and hear everyone, but he cannot speak or move. He was put in intensive care at a private hospital in Sandton and was moved to the public hospital a day ago. He is not okay but it is not my place or any of my friends to say what is wrong. His eyes are showing a fighting spirit.

“Half his face is affected. He can’t talk, he’s just lying there, it’s bad. They were taking him out of a private hospital and to a public hospital. I’ve been there, and there’s nothing wrong with that hospital. The machines are working, and the nurses are amazing. It’s going to be a while before he recovers. I think it’s like Lira’s situation.”

Of Donations

The insider also spoke on reports that Da LES’ friends were raising money to help cover the rapper’s hospital bills:

“Da LES contributed immensely to the country’s entertainment business, and it is a sign of Ubuntu to donate when someone is ill. People donate when there is a wedding, a funeral, or a birthday, and why can they not donate to the recovery of one of our own stars whether they can afford it or not?”
