Edwin Sodi Spotted with Cassper Nyovest at Bobby Blanco’s Birthday Brunch
Edwin Sodi, a businessman accused of corruption, was recently seen relaxing with rapper Cassper Nyovest at socialite Bobby Blanco’s 27th birthday brunch. The event was attended by several other celebrities, including rapper Nadia Nakai, international Amapiano DJ Dbn Gogo, and entrepreneurs Jaji Abolore and Edwin.

Cassper Nyovest shared a photo on his Instagram account of himself seated with Bobby Blanco, Jaji Abolore, and Sodi. He captioned the photo “The Billiato and some friends!!! Ooh wait Xiba ngopfu!!!” Seeing Cassper and Edwin together as friends was certainly a surprise.

Edwin Sodi Blames Deceased Business Partner for Rooiwal Scandal
Edwin Sodi has been in the news recently for his alleged involvement in the failed Rooiwal water treatment plant upgrade, which reportedly played a role in the May 2023 cholera outbreak in Hammanskraal. It is believed that Sodi’s lawyers wrote to the City of Tshwane to explain why his company NJR should not be blacklisted for its involvement in the failed project.

He claimed that the corrupt conduct of the director of the company was responsible for the failure to complete the upgrade. In 2019, the companies were awarded a R292m tender by the city to upgrade the Rooiwaal wastewater treatment plant and improve water quality in the Hammanskraal area. More than 20 people died from cholera in May 2023. The contract was terminated in May 2022 and criminal charges were laid against the companies involved.
