Egypt’s decorated soccer legend and current Ittihad of Alexandria assistant coach, Ibrahim Hassan has lashed out at Pitso Mosimane who currently heads Al Ahly saying he lacks quality coaching skills and may find himself jobless after two games from now.

This after the 56-year-old head coach led his team on a heavy 4-0 win against Hassan’s Ittihad of Alexandria in their latest 2020/21 league game.

Even though Pitso, a former Mamelodi Sundowns coach has led Al Ahly’s victorious – almost perfect record for this season, just losing one point, Hassan believes the club is performing poorly and will go down the drain in Pitso’s reign.

“If Hareth [Al Ahly’s kit man] took charge of Al Ahly, he will win trophies,” Hassan said after the game.

“If we [Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan] took charge of Al Ahly we will win trophies. If Pitso coached any other team in the league, he will get sacked after two games.

“Al Ahly wasn’t good against us in the Egypt Cup nor in their last games nor in the CAF Champions League,” he added.

Egypt’s decorated legend believes Al Ahly’s performance has deteriorated under Pitso and this will get him sacked after two games from now.

The 56-year-old South African who abruptly resigned at Mamelodi Sundowns, signed a two-year contract to become the first black African to lead the Egyptian team. According to sources close to the deal who spoke to KickOff ‘Jingles’ will be earning a massive USD 270 000 (R4.5-million) per month).

His team is currently sitting at the top of the Egyptian Premier League log table.

He has so far lifted three trophies in just one season – the Egyptian Premier League title, Egyptian Cup and CAF Champions League.
