In a tweet that surprised South Africans, Elon Musk responded to concerning news back home. The billionaire businessman – who was born in Pretoria – reacted to a clip of Malema singing the song on stage. The clip was posted by New York Times journalist Benny Johnson who described it as “shocking.”

An outraged Elon responded: “They are openly pushing for the genocide of white people in South Africa.”

Elon then stunned his Twitter followers by tagging President Cyril Ramaphosa. He added: “Why do you say nothing?”

Outrage Over Malema’s Statement

Elon Musk joined countless others who have voiced their outrage at Malema’s brazen political and racially-charged statement. The DA’s John Steenhuisen revealed that the party would be filing charges against the EFF leader with the United Nations Human Rights Council. VF-Plus leader Pieter Groenewald tweeted a picture of him laying criminal charges against Malema at a local police station.
