Social media was thronged with reports that Emtee was kicked of the popular SABC soapie Muvhango following an outcry from fans for his ‘horrible’ acting skills.
It was reported that management was not too happy with him as well amidst allegations that the rapper would come to work high as a kite and would eat a ‘lot of food’ while on set.
The rapper had no kind words for his critics and responded to the allegations in an unfamiliar way.
“I was booted out of Muvhango so what?? The allegations that I eat too much are all false, I have a tight schedule and need to concentrate on my musical career and improve my parenting skills. Even if I eat too much is that a problem? – no ways.”
“Shooting Muvhango was a dope experience and it was my first time working on a soapie. I learnt a lot and also realized that being an actor is not as easy as it looks. Acting is one of my passions and I would honestly like to pursue this further. Being in the same soapie as the likes of Thandaza, Chief Azwindini and KK was a memorable experience”.
