According to Sunday World, Nzuzo Njilo spent a week in police custody following his recent arrest after an appearance at the Port Shepstone magistrate’s court.

Police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda confirmed Nzuzo Njilo’s arrest in a statement saying;

“Durban Central police have arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with a case of fraud which reportedly occurred at business premises between 30 January 2023 and 20 July 2023,” said Netshiunda.

The charges stem from an alleged business fraud committed between January and June of this year, with the victim claiming dissatisfaction with a purchased product and an unfulfilled promise of a replacement.

It is alleged that a man purchased a product from a suspect and was not satisfied with the quality of the product. “Reports indicate that the victim was promised another product but it was not delivered.”

Nzuzo Njilo is set to appear at the Durban magistrate’s court on Thursday to answer to these allegations.

Repeat Offender: Nzuzo Njilo’s Ongoing Legal Battles

This arrest comes on the heels of another legal battle for Njilo, who, along with co-accused Kwanda Ntshangase, faces charges of defrauding a woman of R500,000 in a truck sale gone awry in 2022. The duo appeared before the Port Shepstone magistrate’s court last week, but the proceedings were postponed to November 22 due to the absence of their legal representatives.

Njilo and Ntshangase had previously made headlines in May when they turned themselves in, to the police after being accused of defrauding an unsuspecting buyer during a sale. The duo was held in police custody before being granted bail of R30,000 and R3,000, respectively.
