South African actress Brenda Ngxoli has received R100K from fans and followers after a personal video of her went viral on social media.
In the video, Brenda was seen in a heated verbal exchange with her mother, all while holding her infant child. The video captured her mother accusing Brenda of physical abuse—an accusation Brenda adamantly denies.
Brenda Ngxoli’s Fans Unite to Raise Over R100k
The video quickly drew attention online, with many South Africans expressing sympathy for the actress. Influential social media personality Mandisi Tshingana stepped in to launch a fundraising campaign to assist Brenda during what many perceive to be a difficult period in her life.
The campaign has successfully raised over R100,000, with R50,000 donated by Ferguson Films and the remaining amount contributed by Brenda’s devoted fans.

Brenda’s Heartfelt Gratitude
Best known for her memorable role as Vuyo Radebe in the SABC1 drama series Home Affairs, Brenda shared her heartfelt thanks on social media. In an emotional video, she expressed her astonishment and gratitude for the overwhelming support.
“You did something I never expected. You showed me love and listened to me. I received calls from people I don’t even know,” she said. “I thank God, and I thank you all so much. It was never my intention to post this journey; it’s something I thought I would take to the grave with me, but I guess all wounds will be revealed one day.”

Finding New Meaning in “Proof of Life”
Brenda shared that the phrase “proof of life” had taken on a deeply personal and transformative meaning for her. While she initially did not seek financial help, she acknowledged that the funds raised have provided much-needed relief during a challenging time in her life.
“I know I did not ask for money, but God knows I needed it. I won’t lie. I was sitting and wondering about my next plan, but you guys showed up. God works in mysterious ways, and I just want to thank every one of you for reminding me that I am a worthy human being,” she added.
