A father and son were killed whilst the mother was injured in a horrific shoot-out that happened in KZN.
Father and Son Killed In Daylight Shoot-Out
According to emergency responders, the tragedy unfolded around 3:15 PM when unidentified gunmen approached the stranded vehicle. ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson confirmed the attackers opened fire without warning as the family exited their disabled car.
“The victims attempted to flee across the roadside terrain, but the father and young son were fatally wounded during the escape attempt,” Jamieson reported. “The surviving mother suffered multiple gunshot injuries to her legs and lower body.”
Investigators documented an extensive crime scene spanning several hundred meters along the rural roadway. One victim was discovered near a riverbank adjacent to the broken-down vehicle, while other evidence markers traced the family’s desperate attempt to evade their attackers.

Local authorities have yet to establish a motive for the brutal assault. SAPS forensic teams remained on location late into the evening, collecting ballistic evidence and witness statements. No arrests have been made as of publication time.
Community Shock Over Daylight Violence
