Education officials in the Eastern Cape have taken decisive action after a brutal bullying incident at David Mama Senior Secondary School in Mdantsane. Five male students and a school bus driver face suspension following the circulation of a disturbing video showing the assault of an 18-year-old female student on August 1, 2025.

The viral footage captures multiple boys physically attacking the victim shortly after disembarking from school transportation. Witnesses suggest the assault may have been retaliation after the girl reported the group for vandalizing school property.

The video evidence shows the victim being repeatedly slapped, pushed, and subjected to public humiliation while the bus driver allegedly failed to intervene.
