Makhosi Shelembe, previously featured on the popular polygamy-themed show Mnakwethu, has reached out to the public in search of work opportunities. The television personality shared her current challenges in an emotional social media post this week, highlighting her urgent need to provide for her family.

Makhosi Shelembe Begs For Work Opportunities

On Wednesday, Shelembe took to Facebook to express her difficult circumstances:

“Being home without work has become unbearable. As a mother, I need to secure income to care for my children. I’m open to any legitimate work opportunity that can help me support my family.”

The reality TV alumna, who gained attention through her appearance on Musa Mseleku’s controversial program, revealed she’s currently unable to meet her children’s basic needs. Her eldest recently began formal schooling while her youngest approaches preschool age.

From TV Spotlight to Financial Struggle

Shelembe first entered public consciousness through her dramatic storyline on Mnakwethu, where she was unknowingly presented as a potential second wife. While the show brought temporary recognition, Shelembe now faces the common challenge many reality stars encounter – sustaining livelihood after fleeting fame.

“I have entrepreneurial spirit but lack startup funds,” Shelembe explained. “My previous alcohol venture failed due to unpaid customer debts. Now I’m considering a more modest tissue-selling business if I can gather resources.”

The single mother disclosed that the father of her children, Bheki Langa, is currently unemployed, making child support proceedings impractical. This situation has intensified her need to find independent income sources.

Reaching Out to Former Mentor

Shelembe expressed interest in reconnecting with Mnakwethu host Musa Mseleku, hoping he might assist with employment leads.

“Since he introduced me to the public, perhaps he can help me find work,” she stated, though noting recent attempts to contact him have been unsuccessful.

This public appeal marks Shelembe’s latest effort to regain financial stability, demonstrating the often challenging transition from reality television to sustainable employment.
