Bibo is at the Randburg Magistrates Court, where he will hear the outcome of the ongoing assault case. Ntshumayelo is accused of assaulting his girlfriend in February this year, leading to his arrest on February 3, 2024. He was released on R1,000 bail shortly after.

The case has faced several delays, including a postponement earlier this month on September 6, where the court asked Ntshumayelo to provide proof of his enrolment with a social worker’s office. The former football star, now based in Johannesburg, is expected to bring that documentation to court on Friday.

During his last court appearance, the presiding magistrate emphasized the need for Ntshumayelo to complete his social work sessions as part of the case’s outcome.

Next time when you come here, please bring your proof of enrolment with you. You will then have to be here for your sessions, and you’ll take it from them with one of the social workers in our offices,” the magistrate said.

The footballer’s defence advocate, Molefi Mtonjana, expressed relief to the Daily Sun as the case nears its conclusion.

This is fine with me and so far, I have no questions. I’m very happy for my client and everything about this matter,” Mtonjana said.

The state prosecutor also showed no objection to the developments, adding,

Your Worship, I welcome the outcome of this matter. I have no objection to this outcome, Your Worship.

Despite the proceedings being set for resolution this week, the case has dragged on since February, much to Mtonjana’s frustration.

The prosecutor mentioned that the postponement was due to a lack of water in the building,” Mtonjana remarked back in July, after another delay.
