Agreement and Unfulfilled Payments
According to Vicky Mtjilibe, owner of Vicky Casting Agency, the twelve background actors were booked at a rate of R750 each for their participation in the film Clout, scheduled for release on May 8, 2024. The payment was expected by the end of that month.
However, despite repeated follow-ups, Kazadi allegedly failed to honour his financial commitments. Instead, he downplayed the matter, telling Sunday World that it was “no big deal.”

Background Actors Left in the Lurch
Mtjilibe expressed frustration over Kazadi’s dismissive attitude, stating that after his refusal to pay, she was compelled to cover the outstanding fees from her own pocket to avoid tarnishing her agency’s reputation.
“I’ve been trying to get my money from Kazadi, but he’s arrogant and indifferent. He made it clear that he doesn’t care about the background actors, which is disappointing,” Mtjilibe shared.
She further revealed that Kazadi neglected to book a filming location, causing unnecessary delays and rendering the background actors unable to shoot their scenes.
Production Disorganization and Broken Promises
Reports indicate that the background actors were present on set from 1:30 PM to 5:07 PM, yet filming was never executed due to poor planning. Meanwhile, Kazadi was seen on social media enjoying a lavish lifestyle, which only fueled frustrations among those awaiting payment.

Despite this, Kazadi remains indifferent, stating:
“I started this project with no money, and I still don’t have money. The project wasn’t commissioned, and I was hoping to secure government funding. Once I sell the project, I’ll pay them. They just need to be patient.”
