The state prosecutor informed the court of the plan to transfer the case to a regional court. According to the complainant, three individuals allegedly assaulted the deceased, prompting the prosecutor to request the attendance of all witnesses at the court. An identity parade is set to be conducted to identify the other two assailants, with members of the TV show present on the fateful day participating in the lineup.
Additionally, the prosecutor emphasized the need to obtain and submit any footage captured by the camera crew as evidence in SAP 13. A seasoned prosecutor is slated to lead the investigation and prosecution.

The Charges and the Incident
The charges stem from an incident involving a suspected drug dealer, Robert Varrie (49). During the filming of Sizokuthola in Katlehong, Ekurhuleni, on Wednesday, 19 July, Varrie was declared dead. After being interrogated, he was later dropped off at the Thelle Mogoerane Regional Hospital in Vosloorus, where he succumbed to his injuries.
The legal proceedings surrounding Xolani Khumalo have taken a complex turn, raising questions about the events leading to Varrie’s tragic fate and the involvement of those present on the set of Sizokuthola.
