Uzalo actor and former Vibe FM radio host Buyani Sibahle Zitha Masikane jumped from the third floor during a recent attempted armed robbery. To save his life and his prized new vehicle, Masikane made a split-second decision that almost cost him everything.
“The moment I saw them with their guns, I knew they were after my car,” he shared.

Determined not to let his hard-earned possession fall into the wrong hands, he grabbed his keys and ran towards a nearby building, hoping to lose his pursuers.
As he reached the third floor, Masikane faced a critical decision. With no time to think twice, he chose to leap from the building rather than surrender.
“I didn’t have a tracking device on my car yet, and I couldn’t bear the thought of losing it. Without hesitation, I jumped. The next thing I knew, I was waking up in the hospital”
A Difficult Recovery Ahead
Though Masikane does not regret his decision to jump, he now faces a challenging recovery. Medical professionals have recommended inserting screws into his injured leg to speed up healing—a prospect Masikane is reluctant to embrace.

“They said screws are the fastest option for my recovery, but I’m worried about the long-term effects, especially during cold weather”
Preferring to avoid the procedure, Masikane has opted for the use of a wheelchair, anticipating he may be reliant on it until at least April next year.
