Four South African Celebrities Who Have Been Suspected Of Being Gay
South African celebrities have not been spared from the dark side of being a public figure. Constantly, celebrities are judged by their personality; the way they act, dress, even the people they date, and sometimes the roles they take.
The following 4 male public figures have been suspected of being gay even though they’ve dated women and have children:
Cedric Fourie
Out of the public figures on this list, Fourie has been judged the most because he’s friends with gay men and is a proud LIGBTQ+ member. He was friends with Lasizwe and the two apparently stopped being friends when Lasizwe caught feelings for Fourie. Fourie who was in a relationship with his baby-mama for years has been rubbishing claims he’s gay for years but fans still don’t buy it.
Warren Masemola
It’s crazy to think that Masemola was homophobic before he excellently took on his award-winning gay role on SABC 1’s sitcom ‘Ses Topla’. Masemola who has just become a father set the record on Anele Madoda’s show: “I am not gay but people have always thought I am gay”. The award-winning actor further stated: “I grew up with people saying, I was going to be gay before I matriculated. I had people placing bets and money and be like, he’ll be exposed to his community and one day he’ll come out”.
Katlego Maboe
Before Maboe recently made headlines for cheating on his wife, people didn’t even know he was married with a child. People have always questioned Maboe’s sexuality because he’s always been charismatic, energetic, and a happy chap. It’s only recently when the cheating scandal surfaced that people started to believe that he’s a straight man.
Khaya Mthethwa
Though Mthetwa is a father, was married to former Miss South Africa, dated Nomzamo Mbatha and Jessica Nkosi people have not to stop assuming he actually prefers men. People cannot understand how Mthethwa keeps breaking up with all these beautiful women when he doesn’t seem to have much going on in his life. They assume he’s gay and is afraid of coming out because he’s a gospel musician and a preacher.
