South Africa’s well-known traditional healers, Makgotso Makopo, better known as Gogo Maweni, and Tumi Motsoeneng, widely recognized as Gogo Skhotheni, have put an end to their public feud.
After weeks of heated arguments and accusations exchanged on social media, the two personalities have reconciled, choosing peace over conflict.

Maweni, in a public statement, expressed regret over her actions and words during the feud.
“We were both aware of the hurtful things we said to one another. After discussing the matter, we decided to make peace,” she revealed.
Both traditional healers have now agreed to put their differences aside and move forward. They even joked about meeting up for a celebratory evening at Skhotheni’s nightclub, with Maweni humorously pledging to spend her ‘tokoloshe’ money on expensive champagne.

Interestingly, neither of their husbands, who happened to be friends, played a role in the reconciliation. Maweni made it clear that the resolution was solely their initiative, saying,
“Those two must not dare take credit; they had nothing to do with this. It was all our doing.”
A source close to the situation disclosed that while no men were involved in mediating the dispute, another sangoma stepped in to urge the two to resolve their differences.
“Their feud was getting increasingly personal and had the potential to harm their professional reputations.”
The Origins of the Feud
The conflict began during one of Maweni’s livestreams with social media influencer Dominic Zaca. What started as a casual conversation soon spiralled into a public dispute, with accusations thrown from both sides.

At the heart of the controversy was a claim from Maweni and her associates suggesting that Skhotheni’s husband, Monde, had been propositioned to sleep with Dominic.
Skhotheni vehemently denied these allegations and responded with her accusations, claiming that Maweni wore counterfeit luxury brands and did not own the cars she flaunted on social media.
