The lawyer requested the court to postpone the execution of the arrest warrant until 20 February 2024, asserting that Musa, currently based in Joburg, would be available on that date.

Courtroom Frustrations Mount as Case Faces Delays

This development follows frustrations expressed by Magistrate Paulette Da Rocha-Boltney during Musa’s last court appearance in October 2023. The proceedings faced delays as Musa’s legal team sought additional time to obtain medical records, ostensibly relevant to the case.

During the October hearing, Musa, visibly struggling to walk, attributed his condition to a sprained ankle sustained while walking. Daily Sun had questioned him about this at the time.

Background to the Murder Case: March 2022 Incident Unfolded

The murder charge against Musa stems from an alleged incident in March 2022 when he fatally stabbed Wandile Khambule in Vredenburg. The altercation reportedly occurred at the home of Wandile’s girlfriend, where the two had an argument. Following a request from the girlfriend to resolve their issues outside, witnesses reportedly heard cries as Musa chased and stabbed Wandile.

The court has now rescheduled the matter for 20 February 2024, awaiting Musa’s appearance.
