A 17-year-old High school student is in police custody facing serious charges, including attempted murder and robbery, after he stabbed a fellow student, severely injuring and trapping him overnight.
High School Student Stabs Fellow Student And Locks Them In Pit Toilet Overnight
The alleged assault occurred on Tuesday morning within the confines of a high school situated near Alice. According to police reports, a 16-year-old male victim was reportedly accosted, suffering a stab wound to the neck before having his personal belongings, including a mobile phone and money, forcibly taken from him.

In a deeply disturbing turn of events, the injured teenager was then allegedly forced into an abandoned pit toilet facility on the school premises, where he was left unattended. He remained confined in the structure for the entire night, unable to seek help for his wounds.
Injured Student Discovered In Toilet
The victim’s ordeal ended the following morning, Wednesday, when another student discovered him and alerted authorities. Emergency services were promptly called, and the injured teen was transported to Victoria Hospital to receive critical medical care. Officials have confirmed that he is currently in a stable condition and recuperating from his physical injuries.
Legal Proceedings Underway
The identified suspect made an initial appearance at the Alice Magistrate’s Court on Thursday. The court has ordered that the teenager be held at the John X Meriman Juvenile Centre while the investigation continues. He is scheduled to be back in court on Monday for a follow-up hearing.
