“I Still Want To Live”: MacG Refuses To Comment On DJ Sumbody’s Shooting

Outspoken radio personality and podcaster MacGyver “MacG” Mukwevho has refused to comment on the shooting death of Amapiano star DJ Sumbody saying he still wants to live and spend time with his young son.

The Monate Mpolaye hitmaker DJ Sumbody, real name Oupa John Sefoka, died just over a week ago on Sunday in Johannesburg after being shot by yet-to-be-identified gunmen.

The shooters sprayed DJ Sumbody’s car with bullets, and more than 40 bullet casings were found at the scene.

This resulted in some alleging that DJ Sumbody was killed in a meticulously planned hit due to his alleged links to gangsters and the drug business.

The host of “Podcast And Chill with MacG” refused to comment on the death of DJ Sumbody, insisting that he does not want to catch “no smoke.” MacG also said that he chooses his battles wisely and does not want to anger the wrong people.

In the latest episode of Podcast and Chill, after he was prompted by co-hosts Sol Phenduka and Ghost Lady, MacG said,

“Hey man, this sounds like some underground Mafia stuff.”

When pushed to say more on the issue, MacG immediately clammed up and said he would not comment further.

“I choose my battles wisely. This is the first time where I say fu*k the podcast, and I am not going to (comment)… it’s above us.”

After Sol Phenduka said that Sumbody’s death had all the hallmarks of a hit, MacG added,

“I don’t want no smoke, bro. I still want to smoke weed and chat with my son.”

When Ghost Lady asked what Sefoka was involved in, MacG jokingly said that he wanted to go to the bathroom.

Reiterating his point that he was not going to comment on DJ Sumbody’s death, MacG said,

“Me, keep me there by the Phoris and the Caspers, that’s fine, this is…”
