I Plan To Touch Lives: Idols SA 2022 Winner Thapelo Molomo Reveals How He Will Spend His R1 Million Largesse

South African Police Service (SAPS) member Thapelo Molomo is over the moon after winning this year’s Idols SA 2022 season 18  talent competition.

The 29-year-old  Warrant Officer walked away R1 million richer after he beat fellow contestant Nozi Sibiya at the Idols season finale held at  Heartfelt Arena in Pretoria on Sunday night.

 

 

According to TimesLive, Thapelo walked away with a prize package including almost R1m cash, made up of R350,000 in a Standard Bank MyMo account, R300,000 from Spotify and R350,000 from Mzansi Magic,  access to a Standard Bank wealth manager, a Toyota Starlet, a fashion voucher from Truworths and his live show outfits to the value of R100,000, R85,000 worth of musical equipment from Yamaha and a recording contract with Kalawa Jazmee Records.

Opening up on how he intends to spend his R1 million prize, Thapelo revealed that he intends to buy property for himself and his daughter.

He said that he wants to leave a legacy for his daughter.

I plan to touch lives and get myself property, for my daughter as well. I need to leave a legacy for my baby. That’s really important for me,” Thapelo said.

In related news, iHarare reported that Master KG and Makhadzi have expressed interest in working with the Idols SA 2022 winner.

In separate posts, the power couple took to their social media and congratulated Thapelo on winning Idols SA 2022.

In his response to a suggestion posted by Idols SA on its official Twitter page that he should do a track with Thapelo after his performance of Di Boya Limpopo, Master KG affirmed that they need to work on something.
