FINALLY! | Idols SA Judge JR Bogopa Marries Tshepi Vundla After 12 Years Of Dating

Vat en sit season is over.

Idols South Africa judge Thabo “JR” Bogopa has married his girlfriend, influencer Tshepi Vundla after the lovebirds had dated for close to 12 years.

Musician and producer JR had dated Tshepi for many years, and the two have two children together, five-year-old son Sibabalwe and ten-month-old daughter Liyema.

Tshepi posted the wonderful news on her Instagram account, flaunting her stunning ring and captioning the post with the cow, wedding ring, love and rose emojis to hint that she is now officially married.

In the pictures she shared online, JR looked laid back in a light blue long-sleeved shirt and navy pants with sneakers, while Tshepi dressed aptly for a traditional lobola ceremony with a Makoti attire.

She donned a long grey traditional print dress with a white poncho draped over her shoulders and a dull peach doek. Tshepi showed off the ring on her left hand as she rested it on her new hubby JR’s chest.

As he always does, JR put on a wry smile, and Tshepi’s was more jubilant and infectious.

After posting the lovely photos, South Africans, including celebrities like Boity Thulo, DJ Zinhle, Duma Nthando, Thando Thabethe and Kwesta’s wife, Yolanda Vilakazi, shared heartwarming congratulatory messages in the comments section.

Social media users speculated that the couple was engaged earlier this year after Vundla was spotted donning a ring. She, however, refuted the rumours, explaining that it was just a pandora ring.

Last year, Tshepi was incensed by social media trolls, who kept asking about the nature of her relationship with the entrepreneur and Idols SA judge.

MacG interviewed JR on Podcast And Chill in July 2021, and the musician referred to his relationship with Vundla as a loving union. MacG had asked if he would be correct to refer to their arrangement as “vat en sit” (living together).
