It also hasn’t been revealed why the actor will be leaving the show. To all indications, it seems like his character’s arc probably came to a natural end, as there has been no known public drama involving him.

The show has been haemorrhaging characters left and right, and it is getting concerning for viewers. Many well loved story lines are being lost this way, and it is a wonder how long this can go on before it starts to adversely affect the quality of the show so that viewers can no longer enjoy it.

One fan favourite character, Shaka, was recently written off the show, allegedly following his public drama. The actor, SK Khoza, was accused of physical and emotional abuse against his then fiancée, dental practitioner Ayanda Hlongwane.

The actor had been barely hanging on in the show, though, so it was not that big a surprise when he left. But it was not the first time he was fired from the show, so viewers are still expecting him to make a surprise return somewhere down the road.
The show also recently said goodbye to Cindy Mahlangu, who played the role of Siyanda for some time. However, the announcement included no explanation for her sudden exit. But Phil emphasised that we should not expect to see her back any time. She left the show once before but found her way back, but it seems this time, it is goodbye for real.
Even through all of this, it seems like Ferguson Films, the production company responsible for the show, tries its best to maintain a good relationship with their stars after their departure. They recently made a statement wishing SK Khoza the best in his career after the show. And really, this is all we could ask for from a former employer, isn’t it?
Unfortunately, it seems like viewers are not too broken about Malema’s exit from the show. Reacting to the news of his exit on Twitter, fans are relieved. They think he is not that great an actor, and it’s about time he was canned as his character did not add much to the show.
