“Try Me, Boys”: Julius Malema Dares Donald Trump and Elon Musk After Court Upholds ‘Kill the Boer’ Song

Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema has taken a bold stance following the Constitutional Court’s dismissal of AfriForum’s bid to ban the controversial struggle song “Kill the Boer.”

The court ruled on Thursday, 27 March, that the application had no prospect of success, prompting Malema to lash out at US President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk.

In a fiery post on X (formerly Twitter), Julius Malema tagged both Trump and Musk, daring them to challenge him.

The @EFFSouthAfrica superior logic prevails again. I want all of you combined with your white supremacist; we will still show you flames. Try me boys. @elonmusk @realDonaldTrump,” he wrote.

AfriForum Vows to Fight Back

Meanwhile, AfriForum CEO Kallie Kriel expressed outrage at the court’s decision, stating that the ruling effectively “legalised a chant calling for the murder of Afrikaners.”

“We will not take this lying down. If the Constitution won’t protect us, we will protect ourselves,” Kriel said.

He argued that the 1994 political transition promised constitutional protection for all, including Afrikaners, and that the group would explore international legal avenues to challenge the ruling.

Social Media Erupts Over Malema’s Provocation

Julius Malema’s defiant message quickly went viral, sparking heated debates across social media platforms. Supporters praised his boldness, while critics condemned his rhetoric as inflammatory.

The EFF leader’s direct challenge to Trump and Musk—two influential figures with large followings—has further intensified the controversy surrounding the song, which remains a polarising symbol of South Africa’s liberation struggle.
