Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed Zimbabwean champions Scottland FC as their opponents for the 2026 Toyota Cup.
The invitation marks a major milestone for the Harare-based club.
For the first time, Scottland will compete in an international tournament.
The announcement follows recent talks between the two clubs.
Last week, Kaizer Chiefs manager Bobby Motaung travelled to Zimbabwe.
During the visit, he met Scottland owner Scott Sakupwanya.
Soon after that meeting, Chiefs revealed Scottland’s participation in the pre-season event.
Former Chiefs Stars Face Familiar Opponents
The 2026 Toyota Cup will take place on 26 July.
Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg will host the fixture.
The match will also reunite Khama Billiat and Knowledge Musona with their former club.
Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs will use the competition to prepare for the upcoming season.
At the same time, Scottland will gain valuable experience against elite opposition.
The Zimbabwean champions secured their place by winning the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title.
As a result, they qualified for the 2026/27 CAF Champions League.
The Toyota Cup appearance offers another important test before their continental campaign begins.
