Zimbabweans Breathe a Sigh of Relief After Kidnapped Women and Children Are Rescued Safely
The two young Zimbabwean women and two children who were kidnapped in South Africa a few days ago have been found safe.
They were rescued after being abducted and brutally assaulted.
Kidnappers Film Brutal Assault and Demand R5K Ransom Using Victim’s Phone
According to reports, the victims were kidnapped in South Africa while returning from work. They have been identified as a 21-year-old woman, an 18-year-old woman, a 4-year-old girl, and a 3-year-old boy.
In a disturbing video that has since gone viral, the kidnappers are seen forcing the two women to strip before savagely assaulting them. Throughout the ordeal, the attackers demand a ransom of R5,000 for their release.
The kidnappers, who reportedly spoke IsiPedi, used one of the victim’s phones to record the assault and send the footage to the victims’ families, demanding the R5,000 ransom.
Kidnapped Zimbabwean Women and Children Found Safe; No Ransom Paid
After a coordinated search and rescue operation, the Zimbabwean women and children who were kidnapped in South Africa were found and safely released. The operation was led by local authorities, Moreboys Munetsi, and family members.
Giving an update, Moreboys Munetsi confirmed that the victims were found unharmed. He expressed gratitude to everyone who offered support during the ordeal
“Glory to God we found them safely no money paid .Thank you for all your prayers and support.
I am done.”
Moreboys Munetsi revealed that no ransom was paid to the kidnappers. He also noted that while the victims are now safe, no arrests have been made in connection with the kidnapping.
“We refused to pay money to criminals.Investigations will continue no one has been arrested at the moment.Girls and the little ones are traumatised they need your help and support.”
