A KZN 25-year-old man was fatally shot on Saturday afternoon during a parking spot dispute. The tragic incident unfolded at the corner of George Sewpersad/Moss and Ireland Street.
Sequence of Events
According to the victim’s colleague, the incident began when they parked their Hino 300 delivery truck in a business driveway while delivering ice cream to a nearby store. This action provoked the driver of a white Isuzu bakkie, who was reportedly frustrated by the obstruction.

The disagreement escalated into a heated argument and quickly turned physical. The Isuzu driver, assisted by two accomplices, allegedly overpowered the victim during the altercation. In a tragic turn of events, the suspects reportedly disarmed the victim and fired two shots at him. As he attempted to flee, they pursued him and discharged a third shot, which proved fatal.

The ordeal occurred in broad daylight, with numerous shoppers witnessing the confrontation in the busy central business district. Eyewitnesses expressed shock and disbelief over the violent outcome of what began as a minor parking dispute.
